Apostroph
Tuesday, 03 November: 09:30 - 16:30
Apostroph is a prototype of a robot designed to study rise-up motion, which is the intrinsic behaviors of living organisms.
In Apostroph, the joints that connect the gently curving frames contain the motor rotate 360 degrees, and are programmed to resist external force. These motors rotate in a direction opposite to the rotation occurred by gravity. Consequently, Apostroph tries to lift its body, in the same way as a human being stand up. This project is one of our try to seek the shape of Artificial "Life" which will live with us in our future life.
