Development of Ball-Rotation System with Visual and Tactile Feedback Inducing Illusion of Motion

In performing rehabilitation, it is effective to generate an illusion. In this study, we invented ball-rotation system inducing of illusion of motion by visual and tactile feedback and did the evaluation experiment of it. We conducted the evaluation experiment of equipment and an illusional inducement experiment on using it before. Illusion of motion has been suggested to occur by using the present system the experiment. As a result, the subject felt to rotate the ball although not rotate the ball by himself using this system. Therefore, illusion of motion by performing a visual and tactile presentation was likely to occur. Future prospects, it is necessary to conduct experiments with clinical towards rehabilitation.
