Non-manifold Level Sets: A multivalued implicit surface representation with applications to self-collision processing

Thursday, 05 November: 14:15 - 16:00

We present an implicit surface representation that stores signed distance values on the nodes of explicit hexahedral meshes. This level set variant allows us to represent domains with thin topological features (narrow slits and gaps) or even material overlap.
We leverage our method to handle self-collisions on elastic solids.
